{"id":15735,"date":"2021-01-01T10:00:40","date_gmt":"2021-01-01T10:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rvdm.pt\/?post_type=portfolio_page&#038;p=15735"},"modified":"2026-04-03T09:33:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T09:33:54","slug":"antiga-lota-novas-docas","status":"publish","type":"portfolio_page","link":"https:\/\/www.rvdm.pt\/en\/portfolio_page\/antiga-lota-novas-docas\/","title":{"rendered":"Antiga Lota \u2013 Novas Docas"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"15735\" class=\"elementor elementor-15735\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-271864b e-flex e-con-boxed parallax_section_no qode_elementor_container_no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"271864b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e15727b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e15727b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\" data-no-translation=\"\">Antiga Lota \u2013 Novas Docas<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a88a41f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a88a41f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the current climate context, and in response to the necessary environmental awareness, the\nfirm territory will have to adapt to the growth of the liquid territory, for which a management\nmodel is proposed that considers the place as a 'Sponge Territory'.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The core of the intervention divides in three goals:<\/p><p><strong>Energy, Environment and Identity.<\/strong><\/p><p>Energy promoting its production and conservation, the circular economy and electric and selfdriving\nsoft mobility.<\/p><p>Environment as biodiversity, zero pollution, sustainability and silence.<\/p><p>Identity valuing the landscape, memory and invention, celebrating Aveiro's pioneering spirit -\nin science, industry, gastronomy and arts.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Of the approximately 10 hectares of land, green areas will occupy 29%, with the planting of\nmore than 400 trees and more than 1,000 shrubs, proposing a rich and stimulating\nbiodiversity. Semi-permeable pedestrian spaces will occupy 26% of the area, celebrating\nconviviality, nature and leisure, while only 13% of this territory will be for the construction of\nbuildings.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>From north to south, the intervention is divided into 3 zones: north, central and south nautical.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>For the north nautical zone, in support for the marina for 116 boats from various classes and\ntypes, there are 3 warehouses, a maintenance and repair workshop, a control and observation\ntower and an administrative building. In front of the marina there will be a commercial and\nservices building.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The central area will be used for leisure and entertainment, with restricted access by car. The\n\u2018Ria Square\u00b4, to the west, will be used for outdoor dining and drinking areas. The Arts Square in\nthe center is designed to host open-air shows for up to 3,000 spectators, and the Greeen\nSquare to the east will be like an anticipatory place for landscape.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>There will be a five-star hotel next to the marina with a conference center, private dock and\nspa. The old fish market will be refurbished for retail and restaurants, and a new building next\nto it will be for scientific research, co-creation, art and environmental interpretation.\nCompleting the complex there will be two small co-housing buildings, built using sustainable\nNEB Zero materials.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The southern area will have a longitudinal park along the canal to the west, single-family\nhouses with private docks and four storey housing buildings, totalling 11,500m2 of\nconstruction.
